Dawn Lewis won the raffle on board! Great job, Dawn!

We had a short stop at the historic Bertram train station before we turned around to come home!

Little Lambs learn about the Community

At our last meeting the Little Lambs were learning about Community Helpers. Shelly created a little town that they each got to try out different careers! If only we could be so lucky. Here are just a few of the many things they got to try!

Toby the fireman. He's ready to rescue someone with his ax.

Josue the construction worker! This was his favorite. He didn't move from here all night!

Sophia the nurse or doctor. She was a natural at this.

Tristin & D'harie the chefs in the kitchen. They were making some tasty treats!

Nathan, the postal worker. They had mail to sort & stamp. You can see Makayla in the background putting on her Veterinarian outfit.

Get Ready for Camping

We made a quick trip out to our campsite so that we would know what to expect for camping trip. It is a lovely area!

Here is an overall look at the area that is all ours for the weekend!

This pavilion is in the center of a paved circular drive. The campsites are on outside of the circular drive.

This is the bathroom/shower building. It is situated on the far left side of the camping area.

There is a sink/hand dryer/electrical outlet in the women's/men's bathroom.

There are four showers & they are all quite spacious. There is a sink & mirror in each shower.

Some other interesting info is that there is an electrical outlet, water spicket, & picnic table at each camp area. There is lighting & electrical outlets at the camping pavilion.

We're going to have a great time! Today is the last day to sign up even if you are just coming for the day.

Adventurer Sabbath

Let me just start out by saying how proud I am of each adventurer that participated this last Sabbath. I have gotten several compliments and I whole heartedly agree - My Adventurers are wonderful! A Promise to be anything God wants them to be!!! Check out the practice ending of the song at the bottom of this post!

Here we are getting prepared! A Mom putting the finishing touches on her son!

Standing in line getting ready for our grand entrance!

The program has begun! It was wonderful from beginning to end!

Our Little Lambs! Wish we could have had the choir microphones so they could have been heard, but they were brave & did their very best!

The Eager Beavers ready to rejoice in the Lord!

Sunbeams showing their banner of love!

Unfortunately, I didn't get a great shot of the Helping Hands, but I love this picture of when the special prayer was said for us!

Thanks again for a job well done, Adventurers! You truly are a wonderful promise!

No Pics - But Important things to remember

HI everyone. My photographer has sort of been out of commission so I haven't had any pictures to post. I do have some important things to keep in mind!

This Sabbath is Adventure Sabbath. We will be practicing Wednesday night so please plan to be there. Each person has important part in our program! Since prayer meeting is on Wednesday nights as well, we can't get into the Sanctuary so, we are planning a practice for 5:30 p.m. Friday evening! PLEASE plan to have your child there. This will be the only time we got over things in the sanctuary & I want each child to be aware of what they need to do!!!

Camping will soon be upon us! I'm getting so excited! Please remember the absolute last time you can sign up is October 22 which is a week from Wednesday! I hope each family can attend. If you are having any reservations about coming please don't hesitate to come & talk with us!

Thanks for letting me borrow your kids each week. They are a real joy!

Fitness Night

This evening was our first evening of Fitness! I think the kids really had a great time & provides a nice change from being indoors. Especially during our fantastic Autumn weather!!!

Here is the leader of fitness! He did a great job & it's nice to turn the evening over to someone else for a change!

One of the activities was breaking into two teams & getting the flags off of the other team. I think the older children really enjoyed this!

Even some younger ones enjoyed getting in on the action!

Some just took it a bit more easy over on the playground!

We passed out the flier for the camping Family event! We're planning a great event & I hope as many as people as possible can make it. Don't forget the deadline is October 22 to sign up!

The Whole Group

Since my official photographer (Mr. Vohwinkel) was not there last night I kind of got neglectful on the pictures. I did get this nice pictures of the whole group. We are not up to 34 kids registered. Not all are shown in the picture, but someday I hope to get a whole group shot.

Last night was a busy night. We've started practicing our song for Adventurer Sabbath. The kids are really sounding great! We had curriculum. Helping Hands are practicing a skit they will present for the children's story on Adventurer Sabbath. Little Lambs have a special song they are going to sing. Eager Beavers & Little lambs are practicing as well, but I didn't get to view their special assignments. I can tell kids are studying for Bible Bowl & I think that is great!

Unfortunately, I didn't get through everything on Olympic night so we made our Olympic chain last night. You'll get to view it in May at our investiture night.

Don't forget the special quiz at the left. First person to come see me next Wednesday with the correct answer will get a prize.

First Meeting! God Rules!

We started with a little God Rules party at Adventurers tonight!  The kids got to see a loud trick to help with the party & to help them remember that God Rules.  Hopefully they are still having fun with their Kazoos!  Then we split up into our groups for the first time!

Here is the Little Lamb Group tonight.  There were a few missing, but I think they had a great time getting acquainted with one another.  Their major project tonight was making a little lamb.

Here is our Eager Beaver group.  This is probably our smallest group right now.  They have an exciting program though, with Miss Cynthia.

Here is our Sunbeam group.  They are next to smallest.  They made little booklets that illustrate the Adventurer Law.  If they don't know it already I think they are well on their way to learning it.

We then met back together for our Bible bowl.  The kids are excited!  They did a great job answering questions, but I'm going to keep the questions around for one more time.  Please help your kids with studying.

Don't forget the Adventurer Swim party happening this Sunday at 4:00 p.m.  Along with your salad or dessert you might want to bring chairs for sitting in.  I have a few, but certainly not enough for everyone.  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in contact with me.

Registration Day Excitement

The excitment of registration day is over & as the director I'm very excited about the new year.  We had 27 kids sign up tonight with the prospect of a few more!  Tonight Mr. Matthias clicked a few pics from his perch at the finance table.

Our Adventurer Flag!  Ready for a new year along with the stand for the banners.  Thanks, Dr. Pundt for putting that together!

Thank you Miss Cynthia!!  She created a little entertainment for the kids while their parents were registering.  She is always so creative & I am beyond thankful for all her help!

Nicholas holds his baby sister so his parents can take care of all the details!

Faithful Makalya, always ready for a picture!

Miss Kiana explains all the workings of the uniform table!

Thanks to all the leaders tonight with their help for registration!  I prayed this morning about our group & I know God gave us a great start tonight.  This year is going to be a great year!  Again I'm so excited!!!  Can't wait until next week!

Don't forget to study your Bible Bowl questions!!
